Nestled in the Upper Hunza Valley, the Patundas Hunza Trek offers a scenic and accessible journey. Setting out from Borit Lake, the trail passes through tranquil villages like Passu and Luzhdar before climbing to the alpine meadows of Patundas Ridge, perched between the glaciers of Passu and Batura .
At an elevation of roughly 4,200 m, this serene pasture reveals breathtaking, 360° panoramas of iconic Karakoram giants—Passu Peak, Batura Peak, Shishper, Dasteghil Sar, Momhil Sar, and Rakaposhi—floating above misty valleys.
The route, crossing the Passu Glacier’s moraine, is designed to be short and gentle, requiring only basic fitness, making it perfect for hikers of all ages.
Beyond its natural wonders, the trek also offers cultural encounters—especially with local Wakhi shepherds who graze their livestock in these meadows during summer months
